Volunteering FAQs 

How much time do I need to give? That is up to you - we will happily accept 1 two hour shift during the Festival or a committment of a week's labor before, during and/or after the Festival. You determine and communicate how much time/energy you have to give in the Application mentioned above. 

What kinds of things do you need volunteers for? Everything! Building to decorating to monitoring environments. Runners, car parkers, late night watching, gardeners, clean up crews, tote that barge, watch this booth and more! See the Application above for more complete lists. 

When do you need volunteers? We start some projects and grooming the land early May. We work weekly through June and bring the show together during Production Week (June 22-27). We always need extra hands during the Festival. Then, when it is all over, we have to pick up all our toys, put them away and return the land to it's pristine condition. You can indicate which blocks of time you would be available in the Volunteer/Crew Application above. 

What do I get for volunteering? Primarily, you get the satisfaction of being a part of something truely magical - and helping it to happen. If you are considering this service, you know what we mean. There are other compensations for significant efforts. Details are in the Volunteer/Crew Application
